Welcome to the Silent Spring Resort where traditions and memories are made
Silent Spring Resort is a quaint little resort in the heart of “Gods Country”. Located 17 miles north of Gunnison, Colorado and only a short drive from Taylor Reservoir or Crested Butte there are endless adventures and activities that you can partake in. Or if you are wanting to just relax and and enjoy the quiet of the canyon, Silent Spring is where you want to be.
The magnificent Taylor River is know for its fly fishing, float trips and white water rafting trips. Taylor Reservoir is 14 miles further up the canyon. Spring Creek Reservoir is 12 miles from the resort along with beautiful meandering Spring Creek full of Rainbow trout, Brown trout and the occasional Brook trout waiting for your fly. If you want to experience ATV riding in the summer, Snowmobiling, Cross Country Skiing or Snowshoeing in the winter you can do most right out our doors.
Harmel’s Resort is around the corner if you want to take in a day of horseback riding up into the high country. Fall is magnificent with the colors changing and the elk bugling.
White water rafting on the Taylor River and Gunnison River make for and excitement that you wont forget. The snow melt spring fed rivers take your breath away. The East River and Taylor River come together in Almont to create the Gunnison River. Almont offers outstanding restaurants, guide services and nightly entertainment for your enjoyment.
Crested Butte isn’t far away. A scenic drive up and over Jacks Cabin in the summer puts you right into town to enjoy the Annual Wildflower Festival, Mountain Bike races, hiking the many trails and mountain peaks. Winter brings first class down hill, cross country and extreme skiing. The “off the beaten path” makes for short lift lines and amazing snow.
Having grown up in Gunnison, there are many places and activities that I can introduce you to. All you have to do is ask. Looking forward to you visiting the beautiful Silent Spring Resort.
