Cabin 3 is the 2nd unit built by the gentleman that settled in the canyon with his family. It was built in 1939 with true log and beams which makes for a very cozy stay. The living area has a floor to ceiling rock fireplace that provides great ambience for relaxing, watching tv, reading or any family activity that you choose to do. This cabin has a fully equipped kitchen that you can prepare wonderful meals to enjoy at the dinner table or out on the deck or take up the Canyon for a picnic. The cabin also has a full bathroom area for your convenience. We have experienced this cabin during the winter months. Last year Almont experienced the snow storm of the century receiving over 13 feet of snow in the month of January alone. We were living in Cabin 3 due to a fire at our house. As the snow began to fall and pile up outside, the cabin became a winter wonderland. Snowmobiling from the cabin to the high country, snow shoeing and cross country skiing right out the door made for an amazing time. We put up our Christmas tree that we cut down and hung stockings on the mantle. We also strung lights outside on the rails along the entryway. A memory that won’t be forgotten and hope that others will be able to experience by staying with us as well. With our snow removal equipment access to town was never a problem.
