Cabin 4

Silent Spring Resort began with a small rustic cabin back in 1932, by a gentleman that loved the canyon so much that he wanted to have a place for his family to settle. He built this one bedroom home with horizontal logs, beams and character. The cabin has one queen bedroom with a queen pull out couch in the cozy front room. There is a full kitchen equipped with everything you need to fix a meal for your family. There also is a full bathroom and plenty of storage for your summer and winter activities. There is a large picture window on the end of the cabin up against the forest that is great for watching the deer pass by and the hummingbirds feed as well. I was living in the cabin last summer and was taking a nap in the comfortable living area when I woke up and noticed a motion out the window. It was a little black bear out for his normal stroll. He went around the cabin and down to some raspberry bushes for the afternoon. According to the summer residents in the canyon and visitors to the resort, he makes this stroll often down the hiking trail up above the resort that skirts a creek that flows during the spring and becomes “silent” in the summer and fall and is a common attraction that everyone enjoys.
